Werneth Concert Band
Werneth Concert Band is an active community band based in Romiley, a village just outside Stockport in Greater Manchester.The band has its own premises - the Allan Jones Performing Arts Centre - where we rehearse weekly on Tuesday evenings (7:30-9:30) between September and July.
With around 60 playing members, the Band performs regular concerts in the local area, including at St Chad's Church in Romiley and St Paul's Church in Compstall.
Werneth Swing Band
Werneth Swing Band is a subset of members from the main band, plus some players who just join us for the Swing Band, who rehearse every third Sunday night at the Performing Arts Centre. The Swing Band play regular concerts both alongside the main Concert Band and on their own, including popular fundraising evenings and Christmas busking evenings in local pubs.
